Welcome to Camp R.E.A.C.H.!
Camp R.E.A.C.H. is a summer camp for children and young adults with special needs who have severe language challenges. Augmentative communication is addressed for each individual camper. We will be offering 4 summer camps over two weeks this summer.
Thanks for your patience: Registration is now open online!
The camps are split by age group and ability to maximize the fun and learning potential of each camper. Our camp themes this year are “POP! Bubble Art and Science” for the week of July 6-10 and “Sports! Fun for All”- for the week of July 13-17. We plan to take an additional 5 kids per session again this summer and adapt to the sensory needs of our campers with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD). All camp sessions will be held at Summerfield First Baptist Church.
Camp R.E.A.C.H. also strives to provide activities year-round for our campers and their families to access our community as much as they can with their augmentative communication devices and techniques. Summerfield First Baptist Church will be hosting us again for a pre-camp Cookout on June 1st starting at 12. Last year was lots of fun so don’t miss it this year!
Look for info about our annual Holiday Party in December. In addition we are planning several ongoing social opportunities for campers throughout the year, so stay tuned!
