Welcome to Camp R.E.A.C.H.!
Camp R.E.A.C.H. is a summer camp for children and young adults with special needs who have severe language challenges. Augmentative communication is addressed for each individual camper. We will be offering 6 summer camps over three weeks this summer. Registration is now online!
The camps are split by age group and ability to maximize the fun and learning potential of each camper. Our camp themes this year are Beach Party for the week of July 10-14 and Candy Land/Willy Wonka for the week of July 17-21. We are adding an additional week this year specifically for our campers with Autism Spectrum Disorder(ASD) and will be joined by 2 new therapists. The Beach Party theme will be repeated July 24-28. All camp sessions will be held at Summerfield First Baptist Church.
Camp R.E.A.C.H. also strives to provide activities year-round for our campers and their families to access our community as much as they can with their augmentative communication devices and techniques. We’re hosting an End-of the-Summer Cookout and our 6th Annual Holiday Party in December. We are planning several ongoing social opportunities for campers throughout the year, so stay tuned!
This year we will participate in one major fundraiser that benefits Camp R.E.A.C.H. We ask our campers, peer helpers, staff, board of directors, and community volunteers to help us raise funds throughout the year to keep our camp afloat.
